Updates

Had another great weekend with my family indoors. Weather in Jersey was unbearably hott this weekend. Rented a few movies, one of which was Chloe which was a crazy movie and went to the theatre to see SALT, two very good movies.

I did go out and purchase a few things from Rite Aid and have a few outfit of the day pictures I have taken that I hope to share with all of you, but left out the door running this morning, so I forgot the camera to upload all the goodies, but promise to have them up tomorrow along with a whole bunch of other things. I didn't film any video this weekend due to my swollen eye.. My dear son decided it was funny to throw a playstation remote which hit me right above my eye.lol

Planning on doing a makeup tutorial on the look below. Let me know if this is something you would like to see ??

FYI- Yes I am a Twilight Saga fanatic :)

T.G.I.F.!!

Happy Friday everyone! Last night after work I met up with my fiance, and we went to a nice & cozy Colombian restaurant for food and drinks. Overall we had a great night, we were well overdue for a night out together. Sometime life gets so busy and hectic you forget about the simple things, like a simple conversation with your partner. Woke up with a little hangover but it was well worth it. This weekend I have a few events to go to, promise to take pics. I'm also working on a hair tutorial "10 ways to work a braid" so look forward to that this weekend. Talk to you guys soon :)

P.S. if you haven't tryed an Alabama slammer or whiskey sour, you def should.. my new favorite drinks.

Jeans 101

Trouble finding the perfect jeans that flatter your body, I know I do. Here are a few tips to help you find those great jeans to make you look your best.

Waist length- Try on your jeans and make sure your stomach isn't being exposed over the waistband. Bend over to pick something up, if your back is exposing to much skin then go for a higher waistband.

Hips & Thighs
- Avoid jeans that give you that famous camel toe effect. Lets face it its uncomfortable and unflattering.

Booty- Test out your jeans, walk around a little and sit. Your jeans shouldn't be saggy and all loose after sitting for 5 minutes.

Tailor your Jeans- If wearing with low shoes such as flats, jeans should sit low on the ankle but above the ground. If wearing with heals, jeans should cover enough backside of shoe.

Pockets-
Flap pockets-add volume, good for a small backside
High pockets- make your backside look up
Low pockets-make your backside appear bigger, draws eyes downward
Far apart pockets- fake appearance of wider hips
*Avoid no pocket jeans. makes you look wider & highlite imperfections

Hope this post helped. Below are a few websites and brands that carry different types of jeans.

Boyfriend jeans- American Eagle
Bootcut jeans-Levi's, citizens of humanity, Jessica Simpson, Gap
Skinny jeans- J brand, Jessica Simpson
Curvy ladies try- apple bottoms, Not your Daughters jeans

Covergirl Shadow blast???

Lately I have been seeing Drew Barrymore's Cover girl Smoky Shadowblast ad everywhere. The messy, sexy look in Drew's shoot really got me wanting to try it out. This weekend I'm headed to my nearest drug store and buying this product. Guess Covergirl advertising is doing their job!

Going Crazy!!

Having one of those weeks where you start to reflect on your life and where it is going. Took a day off from work yesterday and decided to spend it with the love of my life (my son). Went to the central park zoo with a friend, my son loved all the animals.

Spending the day with my son really got me thinking of how I love spending time with him, & how my job gets in the way of this.

Today I am on the search for a new job, a night shift job to be exact. I am determined to find a new job, finish college, be a better mom to my son, and find a new apartment. A little overwhelming but with determination all is possible.

p.s. want a drop a few leftover pregnancy pounds also.. lol

video posts coming soon..

E.L.F. Cosmetics???

A friend of mine told me about Elf Cosmetics and how they are sooo inexpensive & when I mean inexpensive I mean most things their are under $3. I decided to check their website & to my surprise the prices were Great, but wasn't sure if the quality could be as great as the price. Finally made a purchase, spent about $40 and got a lot of things. Purchased a few brushes from their regular($1 each) and Studio collection ($3 each),eye shadows, concealer, lip sticks, eye liners. You could really create great looks from their pallets. (demos coming soon)

To my surprise they were actually really great products & great brushes especially for a buck. I wouldn't so much buy the waterproof eye pen, goes on light and black looks brown, go more for the liquid eyeliner if your a liner girl. Check out their website, give it a try.
